Re: Gevaert - museum

Ages ago we used quite some orange (red?) boxed Record-Rapid paper, when one required another touch than the usual but 'too neutral' tint of Ilford RC paper. And some Agfa Contour film too!

Re: CAVIX LEOPARD Tripod and head

Graham, that is beautiful equipment! Well designed and at an unbelievable price too. It makes me want to buy another tripod that I don't need.

Re: Agfa Isolar 9x12cm plate camera

Thanks Paul. I completely forgot about the Paterson Orbital. That does indeed sound like a good solution. I have never seen one in real life but I remember having seen them in catalogs back when they were available. I immediately checked the auction site and found a couple of them for sale in the UK...

Agfa Isolar 9x12cm plate camera

I could not resist this one  . The seller said it looked like new, and indeed it (almost) does. I already own a couple of Kodak 3A folders for which I need to invent some sort of (thin) frame to support the smaller 120 film in those large film gates in order to keep the film flat for the sharp...

Re: Out of season

Yeah, too early for the poor thing. We really did start to screw up nature, didn't we?

It does indeed look like the 300 in Phil's photo.

Re: Shutter repair gone wrong

What a shame! To my untrained eye it looks like frames 1 and 5 have a similar problem, and frames 6 and 7 another but different issue. But then again, I do not claim to have any clue about shutter issues and shutter repair, let alone Leica shutters. I hope this fine camera can be fixed.
