Don Day, back after a long absence with too much back story to commit here at this moment. I'll come back and edit in some more... still learning my way around here. More to come...

I live in a suburb of Boston. My early years (through high school) were in California. I came East originally to visit an aunt and uncle for a summer. The visit went well, and I decided to stay for college.

I visited this site quite a while back, but I wandered away for a while. I shot a DSLR for several years when my two sons were playing competitive basketball. Gyms are dark and the action is fast, so I was often shooting at ISO 6400. But my older son has graduated college, and my younger son is starting his junior year in September. So I'm back to film, and to rediscovering a few interesting old cameras.

I've engaged a few members of this forum for advice, and I've been really happy with how helpful people here are. So I'll be checking in fairly regularly.

Alex, could be wrong, but I don't think it's Bob Dylan. :-)

Welcome, Dismayed, from another (?) suburb of Boston, Arlington in my case.

Funny. I live in Arlington, too. Very close to the Ottoson School.

Funny indeed: same neighborhood even. I'm up near Robbins Farm.
