What did happen here? vol.1

Post by alexvaras »

Hi all,

First with this film, Ilford Delta 400, supposedly not due date passed. Camera Pentax LX with the Sigma 28-105 lens I took from my DSRL.
A previous roll from the same camera this didn't happened.
Rewinding the roll was ok, nothing strange or pulling.
I processed the film my self, nothing happened passing the film from the canister to the film reel, I didn't opened the canister, I pulled out the film and I found no resistance at all.

First 12 frames are ok, after that this appears, in all the film even between frames.

13 frames after the spots are like this

After this last there are 3 more frames clean this time.

It's not in the same line, it moves up and down in the film, previous roll was ok and my wife now refuses to take the camera again because spoiled most all film.
Taking a look to the film, the emulsion side is ok:

but the shiny part has this:

Any idea what did it happen?

Thank you in advance,
Alex

I have never seen this so my advice is speculative.
The shape of the spots looks like dried little drops. Could be water deposits.
Have you tried to wash the spots away? Try with alcohol if water does not clean them.
