The countryside around Newcastle and Whitney Bay in Northumberland is very beautiful. On a recent trip, I took these photos:

I've been on one of those stoney beaches down on the Portland Bill. I thought it was quite interesting since they were very smooth.

The stones have been rolling around in the surf for a thousand years or more. That makes anything smooth. Most Brits are mentally challenged because their parents took them to Brighton beach and gave them a little plastic bucket and spade to play with........
