Rule of thirds with square format

Post by LarryD »

If there are 3 people standing next to each other is that an automatic give me?

I was asked this question when i spoke at the local college and I had to say. "Well it depends on the subject's distance from the camera and the focal length of the lens." "Other than a group shot I believe that if you did this it is a fail but then who ever followed rules?"

Insert big laugh from the students and a gasp from the professor who has not shot MF in years. :D

If we all saw the world the same no one would need a camera.
