Going to need some perseverance to make that swap. Good luck!

Re: Super Wester Rehab Questions...
The problem I've found with sourcing parts from other shutters is that even if the make and model of the shutters are the same, whomever designed the camera will introduce differences in the way they work depending on the construction of the camera they are mounted on. A medium format folder with a ...

I don't have any photos from a similar teardown, but basically you just start taking off whatever is on top and work your way down. I'd start with that screw on the post holding the drive lever in place, as that is the most likely place your loose spring came from. Sorry about being a bit short on d...

Some work I did on a Compur-Rapid shutter, similar to the regular Compur or Prontor shutters, but with a 1/500 top speed. https://flic.kr/s/aHsjPzdUKH

Re: Super Wester Rehab Questions...
Well, the camera went back together fine, everything working smoothly. Worked a ton of Bick 4 into the bellows, shined up the brightwork. Was running the shutter through its paces and the shutter started firing without being released. Hmm. Played with it some more and it was that the release wasn’t...

Re: Ansco Super Regent
Is the Solinette II the same as the Regent? I had it in my head a Regent was analogous to the Solinette. Very nice collection! I believe they are equivalent, with a rebadge and a plaque that says made by AGFA, etc etc At least my Super-regent and my Super-Solinette are functionally identical with t...

Re: Camera Porn Friday
Looking at the top, Paul, I'm going to assume that the four screws holding the name plate on serve no other purpose than that. The screws holding the accessory shoe might also hold the cover to the camera body, but I'm betting that the screws you'll need to access are under the focus and winding kno...
