Some of my new activities I've taken up have used time I might have been out with a camera. It's more a matter of getting back into the swi...

Re: Red-Winged Blackbirds In Focus

Thanks, Robert and Julio. Mostly I have also been dealing with not being in the mindset of being a photographer like I used to be. There have been plenty of times where I passed up an opportunity because I wasn't feeling up to it or thought I wouldn't be able to spend the time away from the apartmen...

Re: 2024 Eclipse

Turns out I was looking at the Movie mode Menu instead of the Stills, and it was set on Incandescent. Oh well, afte...

Re: CAVIX LEOPARD Tripod and head

My most recent tripod purchase was a Benro Adventure TAD28C. Of carbon-fiber and magnesium construction it is quite light. The head isn't as nice as the one on your Cavix, but it does have the clamping leg sections instead of the twist-lock style. I find those much easier to adjust when on very unev...

Re: Super Solinette

Don't know if I even can recall what box I put all the loose parts in. One of them took a tumble off the workbench and scattered everything into the carpet. Hopefully it wasn't for the Super Solinette.
