Re: Your stats for '24

You didn't kill any cameras, so I guess that keeps the G.A.S. to a minimum.

Happy New Year, PF! Hope you get more shooting in this year, and that you're finally able to do some printing.

Robert
Thank you, Robert. I'm still trying to get things sorted out here for the big camera gear sell-off.

Happy New Year!

Re: Agfa Optima Sensor: disassembly and repair of corroded battery wire

Excellent rewire job, Paul! Back when I was really into collecting Agfa cameras, I tried to get some of the plastic later models but had a hard time locating any that weren't obviously broken (cracks in the outer shell were usually the biggest tell someone had tried to "fix" one). Battery ...

Re: Ansco Super Regent

GOOD JOB!!! Those are very nice cameras, I wish I could find a way to open the top of mine to adjust that RF. Should be the same as the solid body Super Memar version, Pablo. https://flic.kr/s/aHsjCbMYma Good work on that Super Regent, Scott! Perseverance is the main attribute to have when working ...

Re: Brooklyn from a Box

The Box Tengor was always on my list of desirable cameras for the same reasons you mentioned, Paul. Really good output from that camera considering the age of the film.

Re: Leica IIIf back from DAG overhaul Test Roll

Looks like you got an excellent instrument there, glad that the overhaul went well. If you ever decide to develop yourself, an alternative to a full darkroom is scanning your negs. It is an additional chore, but you have full control and it is quite manageable in terms of cost and space needs. And ...

Re: Leica IIIf back from DAG overhaul Test Roll

Congrats! the IIIf is quite arcane but fun to use and your results are great. I have the 50/3.5 and would love to find a 35mm for it as that focal is more like my eyes (40mm is spot on) I got a lot of practice on my Zorki-1d before splurging on the IIIf, Pablo. A Leica CL with the 40/2 Summicron-C ...

Fogged In, a Photo Story of 'Fowl' Weather

I made a short essay about this flock of mourning doves waiting out the fog.
