Dad bragging...
'Morning, everyone - Apologize for the OT interruption. Felt like doing a little dad bragging. My daughter started getting into ceramics her freshman year of college. Used it as a quiet mental health break from school, classes, etc. She graduated in May, and continues her pottery at a local studio. ...

Re: Ansco Super Regent
And the secret is… Heat. Like, real heat. I’ve had inconsistent and mediocre luck with an 110 watt hairdryer, but because I suddenly have need to shrink wrap electrical connectors, I decided to look at fer real heat guns. Luckily it’s pseudo Prime Day. Combined with the growth of eastern manufacturi...

Holy crap - what a sturdy camera. How much does that thing weigh? Wonderful review. Love the images. When I read this without my glasses this morning when I first got up I thought that last caption read, “Love the lines on this.” I agree with both statements. Hmm - it’s fall here. As I’m accumulatin...

All great, and as much as I love the tree shot, that first one is moving.

Re: Damn spring…
Thanks guys! I looked closer at the images in the ad and the advance knob was already wonky. The female threaded post integral to the knob is actually canted; the shaft below is not bent. There’s zero indication that this was ever dropped on the knob, and there isn’t any evidence of any stress or cr...

Alex, you da man! So, decided monofilament would be a bit more robust. Took a few iterations but realized tying kind of a noose in the line would give me something easier to loop over the spring than trying to fish it through (see what I did there?!). https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54050065836_...

Okay fixit gurus, I need a tip: I purchased a toy, a Super Fujica Six. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54050244744_7d4abf0598_c.jpg Untitled by Scott , on Flickr Shutter release isn’t working. That’s it. Elsenhow the camera’s cherry. Investigated (after contacting the seller, ‘cause it wasn’t ch...

Re: Shapes and Shadows
Really nice. A good reminder (for me) to look a little closer at form rather than always broadly for composition.
