Re: Ansco Super Memar
Glad you got the ever ready case! Why oh why did Ansco/Agfa build them without strap lugs on the body? I have an Agfa Karat IV with the same 50 mm Sologon, the Karat IV as I'm certain you all know is a folder without the usual door! Nice shooter, with an unusual rapid advance. I did score the case, ...

Re: Filters for B&W?
Filterfind.net is an excellent source of filters, etc. Most are used but their condition is accurately stated. Tim the Main Man there really knows his stuff! I have a lovely Zeiss Contessa, a 1950s folder with a f2.8 Tessar. The threads on that lens are on the OUTSIDE of the lens, rather than on the...

Re: Bronica Bits
I have a Bronica S2a which has the infinity focus problem; this can be remedied by replacing some foam spacers under the view screen, and some foam bits on the mirror "stop." Simple enough, but I don't care to tackle it myself. Anyone any of you could recommend to do this, and perhaps a CL...

Re: Ikoflex 1a
Another excellent choice in a TLR is the Minolta Autocord, indeed some have said that is the equal of a 3.5 Rolleiflex, superior in some regards. I have an Autocord, an Ikoflex, and a YashicaMat. Of the three the Autocord is by far my favorite. None of these three have the prestige or cachet of a Ro...

Re: Ikoflex 1a
I have always heard that Mark Hama does excellent work at a reasonable price and is a good person to deal with. I would not hesitate to use him. Mark Hama specializes in YashicaMats, but I imagine that he could do a CLA on your Ikoflex. Mark Hansen specializes in Rolleis, Ikoflexes, etc. I have an ...

Re: What was your first SLR?
A Komaflex S, by Kowa. This is a 127 leaf shutter SLR. I bought it in, IIRC, about 1961. I still have it; it is a pleasant user: f2.8 lens, auto film stop, manual shutter cocking. The front cell focusing lens has 4 elements, probably a Tessar formula and as such is sharp. Super slides from it are a ...
