Re: A guide to buying film cameras

I just loaded "Samepage" onto my computer. I see the start of the Camera Buyers Guide, or similar, & the italic "more info needed". Do we wait for an assignment, or do we just see something that we're interested in, & start typing? I've never used a program like Samepage ...

Re: A guide to buying film cameras

OK, I know how we are going to do this. We'll use this collaborative online tool called Samepage.io. It allows multiple people to access and edit a single document. What I need is for everyone who is interested in this to send me their e-mail address via PM. I'll add you to the invite list on the d...

Here is a photo of the camera. (The photo is from Bing.)

Thank you very much. She's my grand-daughter. Whenever I go on some errand with her, I say that I'm with the best girl in town. Everybody laughs, but I know it's true.

Re: Kuribayashi Petri Automate with f/1.9 lens

Other than the first two (which were probably shot close to wide open), I'd say you have a good user there. PF Thanks. Yes, I enjoy using it. These aren't seen too much here in the USA, but it's a decent camera. The first two is really only one; I don't know how it got added twice. However, it was ...

Kuribayashi Petri Automate with f/1.9 lens

I picked up a Petri Automate, 35mm rangefinder, a couple of months ago. The price was right: it was free, & the camera worked. The camera was made around 1958 in Japan. I found that it's lens had 40.5 mm threads for the filters, etc. I wound up getting a 40.5 to 46 mm step-up ring, & some 46...

Thanks.

I think it's a Model 'E'. I also use a Model 'D' that started it's life as a Model 'B', & an Ikoflex IIA. When I was a kid, I couldn't see any possibilities for the square format, but now I like it.

Re: Kodak Medalist

That medalist, mine's a 'II', is a heavy camera. But I like using it, & enjoy it's company. I got it several months ago & I'm still experimenting & learning about it. I reroll 120 onto a 620 spool, easy to do. Using Ilford FP4+ film. Here are some test shots. img7868.jpg img7871.jpg img7...

Lowly Ciroflex

I just joined this group, & thought that I'd mention the lowly Ciroflex TLR. I've been using 35mm cameras since the mid 1960's, but had always wanted to see what MF was like. Remembering those TLR ads from back in the day, I went to eBay & saw an old Ciroflex TLR that spoke to me. I made a b...
