Video: Reviving the folding Contessa's meter
https://youtu.be/THwd4CTMxg0 Here's where I show how to revive the meter on your folding Zeiss Ikon Contessa. I've had this camera for about eight or nine years, and I was fairly certain that it would work, and it did. Here's my old webpage on this: https://elekm.net/zeiss-ikon/repair/meter-repair/

Video: The Ihagee Exakta 66 (vertical)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEW_oNJ-vAs In this week's video, I look at the Exakta 66 vertical. Given the opportunity again, I probably would buy this camera unless it was in the $200 range. It's an interesting camera, but that doesn't make it a great camera. I think that I need to shoot with i...

Re: Yet another folder - a guessing game
I like a good folding camera - 6x6 or 6x9. This looks to have a sharp lens. Although I've shot them, 6x4.5 isn't my favorite format.

You know, it's almost like it's sliding off of the helical, but it isn't because it re-engages. If it was off the helical, you wouldn't think that it would re-engage each time. I'm eager to see what you learn.

Re: Pentax 17
I used to scan all of my 35mm on an Epson flatbed. I also have an older HP Photosmart S20. It allows you to readjust the frames. Once I complete the roll and get it processed, I'll answer that question. Regarding that depth-of-field chart, I immediately wondered if that was at a particular aperture,...

Re: NKK Super Wester
I like that camera, and it's nice to get one once in a while that isn't a basket case. I'm looking forward to seeing some of the photos.

Re: Pentax 17
pentax17_viewfinder_1440.jpg I like that you can see the little pictograms in the viewfinder, but I still find myself checking the distance scale under the lens. I haven't committed to memory the distance represented by each pictogram. There's only so much room in my head to remember things. The fr...
