Re: Anyone heard about photo.net?
I think it has an expired site/security certificate problem. That's something the website admins need to fix.

Re: Adjusting the RF in a Karat 36
Thanks for posting this. I just brought my Karat 36 up from the basement with the intent of working on it, including the rangefinder.
I've found some of the Agfa rangefinder units to be average, and adjusting them to be a finicky process that might hold - or might not.

No kidding- a 950 for portrait work? That's quite a leap of faith, although there was some excitement for digital photography at that time.

The Nikon Coolpix cameras (700, 800 and 950)
Coolpix 700-800-950.jpg I've been recording some videos about these Nikon Coolpix cameras and how they made everyone sit up and take notice when these were released in 1999. I tested the Coolpix 700 as soon as it was released and ended up buying the camera from Nikon. I had planned to write a revie...

Re: My Bucket List car 2
I always loved the graceful lines of this model. I think it was one of the most attractive vehicles of its era. Wise choice.

I bought a Canon AE-1
canon_ae-1.jpg It took a while, but I found a working Canon AE-1. There seem to be a lot of them out there, but finding a working one at a decent price (less than $75) has been a real challenge. Like many Canon AE-1 cameras, it has the shutter squeak, which doesn't seem to be too difficult to corre...

Re: Scanning test shock
I wonder if you have "hard" water. I have always done a pre-wash, which has helped with tiny bubbles on the negative. Also, I don't know how you are agitating the film, but maybe if it's too vigorous, maybe the developer gets foamy, which could sit on the surface. A pre-wash might prevent ...

Re: Camera Porn Friday
My second least favorite camera of all time and mostly because it's so damn ugly! Kodak 35 RF A nice camera if you don't mind stripping the skin off your fingers or the sprockets on the film. https://live.staticflickr.com/5557/14212035663_8b444a7548_c.jpg Kodak 35RF by P F McFarland , on Flickr PF

Re: Out of film photography for a while
Julio - one option is th4e Df96 CineStill developer-fixer. You still have to do the final wash, and I guess that's where you can use a lot of water. Maybe you can use a hypo clearing agent to cut down on the wash time and then perhaps use a gallon of bottled water. This is both a developer and a fix...
