Re: Camera Porn Friday

I did try a coloured gel on the RF but even that hardly made a difference. I've replaced a few rangefinder mirrors - in fact the last one I replaced was on the Weha - and I've still got a couple of small "sheets" left. I've also got an external RF I can slide on top. Just got to figure out...

Re: Camera Porn Friday

I'll try and scan the Minox negs with my Panasonic G9 + macro lens. I'll make up some sort of holder out of some black card.

I've looked at these a few times but never actually bought one. Been tempted many times...

I'm curious to see how you find it.

Re: Pentax 17

I hope these sell well and the success encourages Pentax to release some more models. It's always hard to tell from the online tests, but it seems to be a fairly capable and enjoyable camera to use. Personally I wouldn't buy one, I'd more likely get an old Pen or similar if I wanted 35mm half frame....

Re: Matte paint?

I've used Tamiya flat black enamel model paint for similar jobs. Seems to work well, and is durable enough.

The DP2M's Foveon sensor also makes for quite nice B&W conversions:
