Re: Super Fujica Six in Philly...
Very nice results there, definitely the camera performs well! Hope that you can get to develop those rolls soon!

Re: Nikon F film cassettes
Hmm, might try these in the Contarex. Good to know this.

Re: Nikon F film cassettes
I believe they are the same, or very similar to the cassettes for Nikon RF (but never seen one myself, cannot be sure). Indeed they seem based on the Zeiss model, the one for Contaxes, also similar to some Soviet types.

Re: My least favorite camera of all time
Never used a Prominent. The Vito series had good ergonomics and Voigtlander made many smooth, sweet cameras with good lenses. But with that weight, viewfinder placement and focus-by-dial, you have a good argument there.

Re: Agfa Automatic 66, in manual mode
IMHO the Automatic 66 and Super-Isolette share so many crucial parts, among them lens, bellows, film transport, and RF mechanism….both are virtually the same thing when operated manually. The Automatic 66 is larger and a bit heavier, and the shutter goes only to 1/300 instead of the 1/500 in the Sup...

Re: Nikon F film cassettes
Found a donor handle from a parts Kiev 35, and rolled a 36-frame load of HP5+ without issues, which is rare for me with anything done first time. Now the cartridge is inside the Nikon F, where it belongs… seems smooth so far. Let’s see what happens later on, at rewind and unload time.

Nikon F film cassettes
Got locally a pair of Nikon F film cassettes for my bulk loading. Took me some time to understand how they work! I like the concept, opening inside the camera and avoiding felt traps. They fit like hand in glove in the Nikon F, as expected. Must try one as soon as I get enough practice for safe load...

Re: Agfa Automatic 66, in manual mode
Indeed, good idea for next supply of 120 film. Currently I have only 400TX, which is sharper than I expected but no match for slow, fine grain films such as PanF+ or 100 Tmax.P C Headland wrote: ↑Wed Mar 26, 2025 4:55 amNice!
Super sharp too it seems. It'd be fun to try some slow speed, super fine grain film in it.

Re: Agfa Automatic 66, in manual mode
Thanks Scott! The camera is similar to the more common Super-Isolette, both cameras share a lot of parts, including the lens. However, the Automatic 66 is larger and heavier than the S-I. The Solinar lenses in both are some of the nicest Tessar-type glass that I have ever used.
