The Vello NSD-355 film scanner

Post by melek »

I bought this from B&H Photo at a discounted price - roughly 50% of the US$135 retail price. I split this into two parts, because the video started to get way too long.

Anyway, I thought this works very well. This has two advantages over other approaches that use a digital camera:
  • The negative remains parallel to the sensor plane
  • The use of tubes eliminates any stray light coming in from the sides
If anyone is looking for a 35mm scanning solution, I have no problems recommending this.

Part 1 - Introduction

Part 2 - Assembly and Test

Good deal!
what type of LED light does it have?

If you can't fix it with a hammer... you got an electrical problem
even duct tape can't fix stupid.... but it can muffle it (SilentObserver)
