Moving the flags

Moving the flags

Post by Julio1fer »

I live close to a place where the local Candombe group practices. These are just neighbors that like to play the drums. But they practice like professionals for the big Carnival parade, where they are allowed a pass of three short minutes before the judges’ stand.

There are drummers (three different types), dancers and different acts. One of their tricks is rhythmically waving huge flags with the group colors. I got them practicing at dusk, with my Rolleicord loaded with 400TX.

Not wholly satisfied with the results, light was far from optimal and besides I underdeveloped a bit. Must get them again. But at least I managed to finish and develop a roll after 6 months of film abstinence!
