Police chopper on the hunt

I was fooling around with my 70-300 lens when this came and posed overhead.
Nikon D700 with AF-S Nikkor 70-300 1:4.5-5.6G ED VR. No crop.

Now, there is some detail from the D700. How do you like that camera? It's a bit of a beast in terms of size and weight, right?

. Mike, it's not the camera I would choose to go on a trip with - but the weight is something one get's used to. Dennis Gallus carries one as well as a D610 at the same time, and he is seemingly not bothered by the weight at all. I bought my one to digitise 6x6 B&W negatives.
