Voigtlander Superb Model I - Skopar
Re: Voigtlander Superb Model I - Skopar
Hello to everyone,
I have inherited a Voigtlander Superb 1933 in good status. I know the basics of the camera but I am having a lot of doubts when it comes to know when the film is ready to shoot... (I can't see any mark once the film chamber is closed,).
The film has been loaded on the right side of the film chamber. I am using Kodak Portra 400 120 film and it seems that the numbers identifying when the film stars are on the opposite end of the control window, so I don't know when the film is ready to shoot.
I hope someone can help me solve this issue or clear up my confussion.
Thanks,
Luis

Hello Luis and welcome,
You have a nice camera in your hands
https://www.cameramanuals.org/voigtland ... superb.pdf
Place the new roll in the right chamber and the take up spool in the left one.
Insert the leader from the film into the take up spool and use the lever to roll it a couple of times, then close the back gates.
Using the ruby window at the back of the camera (not the right side) start winding slowly till you see number “1” (appears after ‘kodak’ and you will be ready to go.
If the camera counter works, now it’s time to reaet it to 1 by the lever on the right side.
I hope you can get it done and take nice photos
Cheers,
Alex

Parallax correction.
Parallax correction of Superb.
Changing the mirror of the Superb and then I will cut out the screen of one RB67, any clues of how doing besides “carefully”?

I think you have to use the "Embed" feature for displaying videos, Alex.

Okay, maybe Flickr disabled embedding, or the Forum no longer supports it. I found that if you use the BB Code instead the video will display here as a still image that is clickable and takes you to the Flickr page where it resides.

That is a very quirky camera. But cool too. Weird film transport system, film travel and back door concept, but perhaps all in function of a better film flatness?
