Canon FD 50/1.8 on E-PL1

Post by wlewisiii »

Hey all, just moved over here. Thought I'd give a small sample of the work I've done lately. The lens was from my late Mother's AE-1.

Excellent. My favorite is the last one.

I'm partial to the first one. By the way, glad to see you here.

I rather like using some of the old manual focus lenses on this camera. Do you have the external viewfinder, or are you using the LCD screen to focus?

I'm hoping to shoot a couple of shows at New York Fashion Week in September, and I'm giving some serious thought to using this camera body and some older manual-focus lenses.

Nice, William. I like that last one best, too.

I use older lenses on my E-P2 to good effect. I especially like using my 100mm PenFT lens on it. Using old manual-focus lenses on modern digital cameras is a great experience.

Thanks folks.

I have a VF-3 external finder for it - which is good because the rear screen was broken recently. With the VF-3, the camera still works fine.

I have the 17/2.8 & kit zoom for native lenses.
50/1.4 Nikon
50/1.8 Canon
50/2.8 I-61L/D
28/2.8 Cosina in FD mount
80-200/4.5 zoom in FD mount

I'd like to get the 25/1.8 & 45/1.8 from Olympus someday but these do quite well for me :)
