I have repeatedly checked the box asking that I be automatically logged in at each visit, but it does not seem to work. Am I missing something?

Re: automatic login
I just removed cookies for this site from my browser. Then returned to site, logged in and checked automatic box, logged off, closed the window on my browser, and then returned again to the site. No auto login. I take it that the auto login is working for others.
Edit: I just closed the forum window on the browser while still logged in. When I then returned, I was still logged in. Is that the way it is supposed to work?
