That lens in one hand, and phone in the other could be an interesting feature, in more ways than one.

I bought a Sony DSC-QX100 when they came out, a couple of years ago. It is a similar idea -- a "lens camera" that is operated through wi-fi by my phone or iPad. I *thought* I was going to find a lot of uses for it. But I haven't found any! Buyer's remorse . . . .

Oh wow, thank you for sharing, Phillip. Now I know they actually made one of this before :-). Maybe the wifi tech and smartphone app at the moment weren't as good as nowaday. It's a very nice concept. I hope the new one from Olympus will work seamlessly with the smartphone.

I expect it is a matter of different strokes for different folks -- in other words, it's me, not the gear! You may discover how to use it effectively! :)

I read the review about the one from Sony. Most people complained about the wifi connection. I hope the one from Olympus will solve that problem :-)

Does the AIR A01 have image stabilization? I did not see the feature in the description at B&H:

Clips to Smartphone and Shoots Uncoupled
16.05 MP Digital Live MOS Sensor
TruePic VII Image Processor
Micro Four Thirds System
Electronic Shutter up to 1/16000 sec
Full HD 1080p Video Recording at 30 fps
OA Central App for iOS & Android
Built-In Wi-Fi & Bluetooth Connectivity
FAST AF System and 10 fps Shooting
Accepts microSD Cards; Built-In Battery

I planned to do a writeup about this but I was out of touch all last week for a work function (annual conference).
