Rollei A110
Rollei A110
Does anyone know if the film door opens mechanically or electronically? I cannot open the door but it has no battery yet so I cant tell.
Re: Rollei A110
The film door opens mechanically.
Slide the camera open and turn it upside down. You'll see a drawing of a 110 film cartridge. Press on the orange part of the drawing near the sliding portion and pull outward. The door will flip open.
The battery is a PX27 5.6-volt. The replace is 6 volts, which should be close enough.

I've recorded a short video showing how to open the camera. It doesn't matter if there is a battery in the camera.
If you cannot open the film door, then there might be a problem with the camera.

Re: Rollei A110
Mike, your video makes it look positively simple! Thanks. I must dig mine out from a cupboard somewhere. I had my A110 for several years before I filed it away as unusable because I could not find the battery compartment. Now I know.
