I've been twiddling with every camera I have lately. This one, an Ansco Super Memar, got tweaked last week:

I bought and fixed this camera 11 years ago. Maddie was 2 going on 3. Took the camera to the beach in Ocean CIty once. Great camera on the boardwalk, lots of fun to use. Maddie laid claim to it immediately. She'd run around winding and shooting it for hours. Predictably, the shutter eventually (after several years of this abuse) stopped working. The camera got laid in a drawer for later fettling.
So, last week, I dug it out. The escapements still worked just like they did years ago. The star wheel that cocks the shutter had jammed, presumably from the abuse my daughter gave it. Reset it, gave it a little cleaning and collimated the lens, and it purrs beautifully again. And, it is now officially my daughter's. Need an off weekend for her and we'll be going out and burning film. And she still plays with it just like when she was 3.
Thanks for looking, pictures to come whenever we get out and shoot.
