I checked an old post of mine (Fujica Half in "Square and Half Frame") which I thought might have links to Photobucket. Yesterday there were messages from PB (upgrade needed) rather than photos, same thing this morning when I looked. I thought that I would download these photos so that I could upload them using Photography Today's upload system. I downloaded them to my computer using PB's system and auto opening them with PS Elements. When I looked at the post again, there were no more messages from PB-- the photos appeared. I don't know how that happened and I don't know if they'll stay up on PT; but, something's going on.

As said they are reevaluating their nuke option. I quit my Pro Flicker last month also. I have all my negatives and other things saved on dormant hard drives. This may be a wake up for some.

Photobucket has amended its policies a couple of times since implements its new "Terms of Service."

In the latest version, I think that existing members might be allowed to link or embed photos until Dec. 31, 2017. I might need to read it again, because it wasn't entirely clear.

The cloud will never be free but there has to be a price point less then what it went to overnight.

Mike what would you need to put a tiered cloud storage system. 20 bucks a month or so to start?

At 1:30 CDT the photos are gone from the "Fujica Half" post and the "Upgrade" signs are once again in place. Also when I look for the downloads I made this morning in order to repost, they appear on the download history which also says "file moved or missing" and I can't find them. Whatever about PB's policy, it's pretty clear that they don't want my business, so I will go elsewhere. I will try to post the photos again when I locate the originals.

I still have and maintain an account with ImageShack. I have the $10 a month account, but it could be upgraded.

The challenge, of course, is opening to everyone on the forum while keeping out spammers. Let's think about this and figure out a way to do this.
