That extra large balalaika looks like it could be easily converted into a drone. Would love to hear how it sounds.

If I meet them again I will record something for you or ask them if they have a CD or anything to buy from them.

Thanks a lot Mike, indeed its intimidating but as soon as you start you cannot stop and everything makes sense paying enough attention to details.
I'm alredy into a portrait lens for this one, let's see how lucky or fast I'm to find it :)

And this is the Contax IIIa CLAd and working, I found the screws to hold the front plate and now the Focus leveller works fine, even the focus is smoother than in the Contax IIa :)

Alex, you are out of my little league if you can mess with a Contax.

Julio, I thought the same, once everything is dissembled you understand there is only one way and only that way to make everything work fine, there is no way to do it wrong, and even if you missed something you will realize it later very quickly.
So far the most enjoyable camera to service.

The one thing that scares me about working on a Contax II/IIa or III/IIIa is the fact the shutter is put together with ribbons. If you get the wrong replacements, things can go south in a hurry. That said, I've always appreciated the way Zeiss constructed their cameras, especially the Contaflex II I repaired. Good work on your IIIa, Alex. That is such a lovely sound.
