That's the way it happens. Once a site is abandoned, after a certain amount of time goes by the name is put up for sale. None of the content is included, and it just gets wiped off the Internet.

The thing is, the name has already been sold, and was snatched up by the outfit now offering it at likely a highly inflated price to what they paid for it. Plus, you would have to use their system to host the site. I'd be very wary of buying the name just out of nostalgia sake, as I don't like the looks of the outfit selling the name.

It was started by a woman whose husband - an active, young, and fit man who was struck and killed by a speeding car driver. He hadn't planned on dying when he left the house that day for his workout.

Her husband left no records for her to cope with her immediate financial life. He had left her their adequate resources, but she had no way to pay the mortgage until the estate was settled. After digging out, she started the site. Stuff happens. https://www.gyst.com
