Yes TSA is a very obtuse organization and I dont travel with film anymore

Last night I was looking for a hot-shoe adapter and I found a cople of old HAMA FilmSafe X boxes for 35mm that I bought in Germany eons ago
Are those still useful?

Worse thing you could try to get through a scanner, as the TSA will surely suspect you of hiding something nefarious. Best to just chuck them in the trash...no, wait, they're not very environmentally friendly. Just keep them as curiosities.

Those boxes were useful to carry 4 rolls of film in a compact package I used them to travel a lot
