Flickr moved to new servers...finally back on line...sort of

If you need to unleash a rant or just have something that you want to say, you can post it here. It doesn't have to be about photography.

Phil, the Stats page changed in their new reboot so that, on my iPad, the daily graphs are only impressions rather than actual daily numbers. They are fine on my Windows pc.

My Flickrs: http://www.flickr.com/flipflik (recent postings), or
- http://www.flickriver.com/photos/flipfl ... teresting/ (Flickr's calculation of my "most interesting" pics);
- http://www.flickr.com/photos/flipflik/s ... 879115542/ (what I like best).

Ah, maybe that's part of the new app they will be putting out soon. My Android app doesn't have the Stats, or a lot of functions for that matter. I'll be getting a new phone soon since the last system update broke it. Then I'll wait till the new app comes out and see how screwed up it is before installing it.

I think this website https://www.isitdownrightnow.com/flickr.com.html has given me the solution to my Flickr sign-in problems. Go to the section entitled "Browser Related Problems." Here it is suggested to try forcing a full refresh of the Flickr website OR clearing the temporary cache and cookies on the browser. The first one, full refresh (CTRL+F5) did the trick for me and I was able to sign-in. Try it.

They won't let me sign in until I upgrade my OS and browser. Catch 22 my OS will not support the new browser. I am going to update the OS when I can afford it. In the meantime I am here and on FB. Setting up a Linux machine and a Windows machine. The Apple is too old to update but works great for some of the older stuff and I guess I will never get Window's 10 because it is way to intrusive.

If we all saw the world the same no one would need a camera.

Linux works just fine; it keeps my old computers alive and is fast and efficient
I've used several distros, and I moved from Fedora to Mint (ubuntu like) a few years back

XnView, LightZone, Darktable, etc work just fine

If you can't fix it with a hammer... you got an electrical problem
even duct tape can't fix stupid.... but it can muffle it (SilentObserver)
