My latest flea market find!

Post by Captain Slack »

Not sure where to put this, but I suppose this forum is as good as any.

Picked up a Canon FTb at the flea market today for $20. Now, I don't typically shoot Canon film SLRs, so I would have normally passed this one by. What made me get it was the FD 50mm/3.5 macro lens that was attached to it. That alone is worth more than $20!

I founded it on my Olympus OM-D E-M10 and should a few frames. This one's definitely a keeper!

That dandelion is a great image. Well done! An excellent macro lens for $20.

Hard to go wrong with a Canon lens anyway, but to get a macro at that price is great. Have fun with it.

It all depends, Nathaniel. Plenty of choices out there, and you never know what you will find at a yard/estate sale. First decision to make is "Film or Digital?" After that, just go with the first affordable camera/lens combo you can find. If you don't like it, try another one.

Wow, great find and I do like "Puff ball" a lot. Is that lens in good shape externally as well? I know a lot of people don't mind as long as the lens performs well, but I do. Of course for that price you can't be picky.

It's in great shape, Benny! Can't wait for spring so I can shoot some flowers with it.
