Cropped Or Full Frame ?

Would my Canon EOS D60 or Canon EOS XTi be considered full frame or cropped sensor models?
Just wondering???

Ron, I don't know why the digital world uses the typical size of a 35mm *film* negative as their Holy Grail of "full frame" but that's what the term refers to. Since a typical 35mm negative covers 24x36 mm (864 sq mm), then a camera's sensor size can be seen in comparison to that number. Your camera's sensor is apparently 14.8 x 22.2 mm (an area of 328.56 sq mm), somewhat less than "half frame" (18x24 mm = 432 sq mm).

They're both CMOS APS-C sensors, Ron. Like Philip said, about half of a standard 35mm frame, but slightly smaller than the Nikon version.

Thanks for the come-backs. I just found the manual for the D60 and it explains the cropping numbers and all.
Someone had already 'book marked ' it for me
