Re: Film making, sort of

What a grand project that is, Robert! Nothing like recreating a small factory set-up to get the mind cranking out ideas. I wish you all the luck in your endeavors.

Re: Scott does Bolsey rehab (WAS: Oops...)

Oh yeah, I remember Dan. He's the one who got me in trouble with every know-it-all because I echoed his use of the word "pallet" instead of escapement. I'd start with a very slight bend of the tab first to see if that makes an improvement. It won't take much, but since it is what makes con...

Well, Scott, I'm not sure what the speeds are actually like, but they seemed to vary while I dry fired it. That was without trying to use the Set-O-Matic system. I'm sure you'll figure it out.

Re: Oops...

Some info on your camera, the Bolsey C2: https://casualphotophile.com/2020/04/01/bolsey-model-c-review/ And some info on Wollensak in general: https://alphaxbetax.com/ Since you are now a fan of the mighty little Bolsey, I have a B22 model you can have for free. I haven't shot it yet, but all the sp...

Re: Site is back online

Okay, after going through the usual postings and reading of threads I have not experienced any of the problems that were bugging me before the outage. So they were obviously doing maintenance work on the site.

Re: Oops...

I think you're missing a spring on the shutter blade return. Double-exposure prevention is likely lever controlled from inside the camera body, similar to what is used on the Zeiss Ikonta series. You'd have to take the top cover off to access it.

Re: Super Wester Rehab Questions...

Well, the two pieces you have were definitely one piece when manufactured. That spring resides on the drive and looks like one end is hooked into a post while the other end just rides against a lever with the hooked end providing an anchor point to create the tension needed to return whatever lever ...

Heal up, and worry about the cameras later.

Re: Site is back online

I should have iterated that what I was experiencing was before the outage. It could be the site was down for some maintenance to clear up all the hangs. I didn't experience any issues yesterday, but then I didn't do many things either.
