Nice story about those cameras. Indeed simple cameras with a good viewfinder, such as the Brownie Reflex, are a joy to use.

Once, years ago, my tech told me that he used a custom adaptation of a pipe wrench for Agfa grease, i.e. just brute force (or better said, brute torque).

A great little camera. That Retina II model was my first serious camera, and IMHO one of the best in the long Retina series. The Xenon lens is outstanding.
Your camera seems to have been neglected but not mistreated. A good cleaning should restore it to top performance.

Very nice series! Your camera seems in the same class of a Super-Isolette or Super Ikonta. Indeed, an excellent catch.

Never heard of these, but there…Late versions of the Mine Six have framelines, the Pearl IV has framelines; the Super Pontura (I think it's called) even has parallax-adjusted framelines if I remember right
