What is wonderful about all of these photos is the history behind them.
Unfortunately, our current love of digital by today's folks (regardless of age) makes me wonder if there will be enough or any boxes of family photos for someone to enjoy long after we are gone.
I know that most of us are leaving behind plenty.

Most definitely keep the notes. Otherwise they just become random snaps of no-name places and people.

Will do, just figured out how to keep them
As I was playing with the images, these notes became too "bright" and illegible, or I converted them to BW and lost the subtleties on them
Recently figured out I can work in layers, and keep them joined but separated

Re: My grandpa's pictures
I know this isn't my gramps pictures... but but but
This is the 1st roll I ever took by myself!
among the negatives I brought there was a weird looking roll which corresponds to my Instamatic (126 film) which was given to me as a present
These are my brother and dad in 1978/9 (I think it should be Xmas, as my brother has a new revolver and cowboy belt)
Sorry, I couldn't contain myself

I see your father has his camera, which appears to be an Agfa.

Old military hospital (Now contemporary art center)
By this time (1921) the place was being probably under construction (built in the early 1900-1910s as a military fort) or remodellation after being used as a "Sanatorio" for people with TB to become a full hospital in the ealry 30s and be abandoned in the early 70s until the late 90s
The new picutres are not mine, but belong to the FONSAL (fondo de salvamento)

Re: My grandpa's pictures
I do like what they did with the place!
As I looked at these yesterday, I was struck by the utter lack of life, and figured it had to be in a reconstruction phase, as I didn't see any burn damage (which was my first thought as to why it was empty). That place was definitely built to last, and the neighborhood has grown too.
