Red Oktober 2019

Post by PFMcFarland »

I guess I forgot to post a heads up for this years Red Oktober submissions. Almost forgot to take some myself. This year I used the Zorki-1e with a Jupiter-8 50/2 on Ilford FP4+. I think that lens will now permanently live on the Z-1e. Here is the best shot from the roll composition wise, as I lucked out and got some people action at just the right moment (well, actually I had to wait for them to get in position). Half a second later and it wouldn't be the same.

There are more at https://flic.kr/s/aHsmJnPwYR and later on I'll post some random photos from the excursion.

Great shot, superb tonality. I'll take a Jupiter 8 anyday.

Here are the second set of photos from Red Oktober. They are more random in nature. Still Zorki-1e, Jupiter-8 50/2, on Ilford FP4+.

Yes, you can get an image of the rear of your lens cap, but only if you are using a vented hood

Not quite part of the Rails-To-Trails movement, as this bridge is short of where the James River Heritage Trail in Lynchburg, VA starts.

Like the previous photo, I had to post process this for the shadows and highlights.

That's all for this year. (Where's that Porky Pig emoji?)
