Rolleicord Va
Re: Rolleicord Va
Thank you, Phil and Julio.
New roll from this camera, it's doing very well indeed.
Wreck of a tree.
Winter straws.
Darkness under ice.
Pollock in the snow.
Winter gallery.
I finished with the mechanical repairs of the camera, now it's turn for leatherette before showing off
Thank you for looking,
Alex

Re: Rolleicord Va
You never have to make excuses for a Xenar. While the Rolleicord never offered a Tessar or Planar, the Xenar certainly was the equivalent of the Tessar (design and performance).
Those photos have plenty of sharpness to them. My first Rolleiflex Automat had a Xenar - great lens.
You can replace the Rolleicord's mirror with one from a Polaroid One Shot (or other Polaroid cheapie). You have to cut the mirror, however.

And I don't understand why folks think they could never get along with a square format camera. Great subject matter and compositions, Alex.
