Help with Bronica GS-1

Hi all,

As the topic says I need help with that camera, I have the 100mm lens and the right hand grip, Imlike the camera, how it feels, etc... but so far I haven't found my 'touch' with it.
First time I used this camera was one year ago with the 65mm lens and the photo of the snail was the only one decent, now I have tried with the 100mm and from two rolls I got nothing good, photos seem flat to me and I'm starting to think this camera is not for me.

Any advice I can get from you when/if something similar happened to you and cameras you have/had?

Can't help you, but years ago I played with the Bronica 6x4.5 camera with the nomal lens (75mm I think) for a few days
This was the early 90s, and I can;t rememeber the exact model

The camera was quirky and solid, the lens was good and everything worked fine, I mated it with Agfa APX100 and got good results

At the end I didn;t buy it, its ergonocmics were not for me; I got an appreciation of those cameras later in life

If picture sharpness is good, "flatness" could be a development issue. I have never used a 120 SLR, let alone a Bronica, so I do not have direct experience, but they are supposed to be pro cameras.

Santiago, handling with this is fine, it feels good and solid.
Julio, maybe flatness is the wrong description, it just I didn’t like any of the photos, no inspiration, maybe it was me.
One solution can be let the camera rest and take it when I feel ready for it.

Alex, some cameras suit us, some don't. Obviously this one just doesn't suit you.

Probably not, Graham, I saw the kind of photography the seller of this camera was doing and the photography the buyer who took the camera this morning.
All colorful and kind o’fashion photography that I don’t practice and not interested at the moment.
New times will come and who knows what will bring.
