Some of you may have noticed my absence from the forum. I just now realized my last post was back in June, 2020. Well, it's been a rough patch lately. First the pandemic had me hemmed in, then when that loosened up and I was able to get back to seeing the doctors they found all sorts of things wrong with me. While trying to fix some of that the medicines that were prescribed threw me for a loop and may have triggered the heart attack I had back in August. After a couple of biopsies (one positive, the other negative) I now have to undergo radiation therapy for prostate cancer. So I've been busy doing stuff I should have had done already, and sorting through a 45 year accumulation to clear some space around here.
I'll try to be more current with the goings on around here, but might not get much photography done for the next two or three months months. I've got several rolls of film to send out for developing and scans so I can at least be doing that while being treated.

Goodness, PF, so sorry to hear that your body is being so uncooperative. I hope that the various courses of remedy are effective and resolve as much as can be resolved. Enjoy what photography you can, and we'll be here when you can hang out with us.

Re: I'm still around
Thanks, guys. I think it will all work out fine. My latest primary care doctor (Fourth one this year: The first two retired one after the other, and the third was just a temp) said this morning I was doing very well with my progress on getting things back under control. Just in time for them to screw me up again with the radiation. The next three months will probably be the worst, then after that I should be on the mend. Just another bump in the road of life. I guess that's why I like trucks more than cars.

Oh, Phil, I'm sorry to hear about the string of bad medical luck. I have friends who have had radiation treatment for prostate cancer and who have done really well by it. I hope you fall into that category! May the near future take a healthier turn for you.

Re: I'm still around
Thanks again, Philip, Bill, and James. I'm kind of relieved about the heart attack because of two things: First off, it meant not having to go through the surgical method of treatment with its attending recovery period and after effects. Secondly it proved what I had been telling the doctors for many years about the symptoms I have had since I was a preteen. And after going through it I feel that it's not the first one I ever had. I think I will find out tomorrow (Friday) when my radiation schedule will start. Hopefully I won't glow too much.
