A little known Russian photographer

If you need to unleash a rant or just have something that you want to say, you can post it here. It doesn't have to be about photography.

A little known Russian photographer

Post by melek »

My wife sent this link to me, and it's a very good online article about a Russian photographer. He used a Lubitel 2.

Mike, thanks to your wife and to you for sharing this amazing story. Zaharia Cusnir would have disappeared into the dust of ignorance had it not been for these two photography enthusiasts. Their salvage work is to be applauded. This story reminds me of the discovery of the archive of Vivian Maier: http://www.vivianmaier.com/about-vivian-maier/ whose massive body of work would come to light when in 2007 her work was discovered at a local thrift auction house on Chicago’s Northwest Side, and is now one of the most important archives of historic photographs in existence.
