Robert,

Wow! That is quite a tour of churches, thank you. I love the detail in the photo of the church of St. Giles. And I am very impressed by the interior reflection shot. I wish that I had been as diligent as you are when it comes to visiting churches while on travel.

Best,
Dennis

Thanks, Dennis. I can't claim to be diligent as much as I just tended to shoot where I happened to be at the time, and somehow we visited a lot of churches...

Phil,

Those are very nice church shots. All with film? Thanks for adding.

Philip wrote:Here is a picture I took a month ago in Venice. It was looking across the lagoon at the island of San Giorgio Maggiore on which is (and most of which seems to be) the Church of San Giorgio Maggiore. Chicken . . . egg.

As usual, I held the camera unplumb, so I twisted the picture in Paint Shop Pro.

Philip, that's postcard worthy. Beautiful shot.

Thanks, Scott. :)

I kind of like the idea of it printed with that skew, too.

Tell you what . . . pm me your mailing address (same with any other member of this-here board), and I'll print one as a postcard and send it to you. I have dozens of sticky-back postcards and can do them pretty easily. I'm out of town later today until next week but, as soon as I'm back, I promise, I'll get them out.

Don't worry about where you are; postage is still fairly cheap internationally. . . . Fairly cheap until the Canadian govt privatises the post office which --coughcough-- they want to do. Grrr.

Philip

(P.S. We should start a postcard round again here.)

Will do, Philip - thanks for the offer! It will go in a frame and be hung with pride. We were in Venice last November, and this picture captures it perfectly.
