Camera Porn Friday

Pablo, that is an interesting camera! Are you going to shoot glass plates?
Yes, 45x107mm glass plates
I found a guy that custom makes them but I had to order 5 boxes (60), so it'll be fun for a while
Plates are a ISO12 equivalent and are orthochromatic, so it should be fun

The camera has no focusing but it has a larg DOF so I assume that equivalent f/ will be 11 and the exposure time is fixed at 1/30
If you can't fix it with a hammer... you got an electrical problem
even duct tape can't fix stupid.... but it can muffle it (SilentObserver)

Thanks CE Nelson ;)

You could measure the aperture hole diameter and the distance from hole to film. The quotient distance / diameter should be close to the actual aperture value.

Looking forward to your experiments and results!

Thanks for that!
I ball parked it by eye but with your formula the hole is 4.81mm and the distance from hole to film is 51mm thus close to f/11!
thanks

I believe that is why the aperture is called “f/xx”, where f stands for focal distance.

This was a complete impulsive bought, I entered on auction site, I saw the camera, 1 minute left for ending auction, I read the description and saw the photos and I got it.

I checked the camera at arrival and I cleaned the lens, all fine, really dusty inside and the photo test I did went well, framing with the brilliant finder works really well.

Definitely a beauty! I like the tanned leather, and the way they almost matched the bellows with the camera covering.

Ooh, that's one nice folding camera! That brown leather is something else than those usual black off-the-mill folders.
