Camera Porn Friday
Re: Camera Porn Friday
Both are real classics and worth keeping in any collection. Good find.

Both are great cameras. Looks like you did far more than just cleaning on the Contaflex...

Re: Camera Porn Friday
Going to try a roll in the little Nikon FG. I like the handling of this camera!
Re: Camera Porn Friday
The Contessa is back from the tech. Test roll went well enough, post pending.
Alas, the Contaflex was not recoverable.

Beautiful Mk2 Contessa!! does it have the M-X switch and the self timer?
It is a beautiful camera, nice to use.
It feels a bit out of time for the 21st century but bring back the joy and magic of what we love

It does have the synchro switch, but I can find no self timer, and it is not mentioned in the manual (all glory and a donation be given to Butkus)
Indeed, it is much easier to use than what it seems at first sight.

Re: Camera Porn Friday
If it has the Synchro-Compur it must have the M-X switch for flash
Some of those have a V next to M and X and that is the self timer
I guess the number of shutter variations are much larger than reported
Mine is a W serial number and has a Compur-Rapid (1-500) and only X flash sync
What I see now that I look at yours, is that the cable release is in the opposite side (180 degrees).
Mine has it where the MX switch is.
