Hi, all -
As I start working on the Rolleiflex again, I decided to run a roll of film through the Yashica-Mat. Been a long time. Found an ancient roll of Efke R100 in the freezer and just shot some grabs as I carted kids around. A few from the roll:

I remember this now. I always liked the square. A little rusty shooting without a meter, but that will come back quick enough. I think I'm going to be in TLR mode for a little while...
Thanks for looking.

First roll in a LONG time...
Re: First roll in a LONG time...
As always You have a winner of a camera and a family. Stay with it bro.
If we all saw the world the same no one would need a camera.

Coming from LF, the old 6x6 square must seem a blessing of convenience. These are excellent! You have a nice family, Scott.

Thanks for the kind words, guys. The Yashica-Mat is like an old friend, and it was nice to break it out again. I'm looking forward to finishing the Rolleiflex...

Re: First roll in a LONG time...
My first 120 camera was a Mat 124-G, Scott, and I really liked it. I wound up selling it to a shipmate when I was lightening my travel load between bases, and it took a long time before I got another TLR. Square is so versatile, you can make so many crops from it, and it just looks natural as is. Right now, I've got a Super Ricohflex, Yashica 635, and a Rolleiflex Automat K4A. Looking at getting an original Yashica-Mat, will see if I get out-bid again. Great looking shots from your camera, and you got the exposures down good.

Thanks, PF. It's funny - the original Yashica-Mats used to go cheap, but the price has been inching up in the past year or so. I love mine.
The Rolleiflex New Standard project is coming along (new mirror is installed and an RB67 screen is on its way here); I'm looking forward to getting that one finished and taking it down to Philly for some shooting.
