The return of the Schneider-Kreuznach Xenon

Post by melek »

Last seen in the 1960s on Kodak Retinas, the Rolleiflex SL 35 and a few other cameras, Schneider-Kreuznach has brought the Xenon back to 35mm photography - digital and film.

The two Xenons are the f/1.6 35mm and f/1.4 50mm. Both lenses are positioned to compete with the new Carl Zeiss Otus line. I haven't seen any mention of price, but I'm thinking $,$$$!

Yeah, just looking at them gives my wallet the shivers. But man, one of these would look really nice mounted on a Nikon F4s.
