I took my Zeiss Ikon Ikonta 521/2 out for a test roll and after several time open and close, it suddenly stuck . I tried but didn't want to break it so I was very gentle. Is anybody has experience with this? Do I need to open the camera to fix it? Thanks!

Re: Folding Camera stuck help!
See if you can rock the lens standard back and forth, it might be hung up on the frame. Also check that the struts are not binding, or hanging up on something.

No luck . May have to bring it to the service. hope it won't be so expensive to fix.

Does the lens/shutter assembly move at all?
You should be able to pivot it. If it doesn't move at all, it might be stuck on something.
Also it should only be able to move either left and right and not up and down. If it can move in more than two directions, that is a much larger issue.
Take some photos of the top and bottom struts and post them here.

I gave up on this because I don't want to do anything stupid and break the camera. If anybody can help me fix it with an affordable fee I am more than happy to send it to .
