Forks of the Credit with a Rolleiflex

Post by Bill Smith »

Camera: Series E 75 3.5 Zeiss Planar Rolleiflex TLR.
Film: Ilford HP5 400 HC110 Dilution B.

I was surprised at the mount of snow around the Niagara Escarpment.

Nice to see it, Bill, and also not to still have any of it. That sky seems threatening for more. May I suggest cropping out about half of the empty sky in number one (though this may be sacrilege to a Rollei negative)?

I have a rule of thumb, I only crop a square neg if I'm printing in the darkroom. Actually it was a brightly cloudless sunny day.

Another shot from the same day, my friend Lindsay enjoying a moment in the sun.

Thank you, I love what I'm getting out of HP5 and HC110 dilution B.

Bill,

Nice sharpness, beautiful tones. I love the portrait shot.

I put a roll of B&W in my Zeiss Ikoflex IIA on Sunday. You are inspiring me to take it for a walk.
