Once you have it back together, Mike, it might not be too bad. The lens I have on mine now (Opton-Tessar) could use a cleaning, but you wouldn't know it from the results.
Nothing exotic. Lens cleaner from Rite Aid. This works great for everything from fingerprints to fungus. For heavy grease, I have an industrial degreaser, which also is good for removing old lubrication from helicals, as well as cleaning the blades in leaf shutters and apertures.
