Intrepid wooden, collapsible 4x5 camera

When medium format isn't big enough: 4x5, 5x7, 9x12, 8x10 and even larger.

Just heard about this on Reddit. Very interesting! Would love to try one out. Maybe something for my Xmas list?

High marks for effort, but something about plywood grates against me. Robert, I'm looking forward to your review.

I love the pre-made bellows slats in the "How do we make it" section. Would love to get my hands on some of those.

Yeah, Scott, I don't think it will be beautiful (to say the least) but it should be highly functional and I like the idea of having an LF camera that I can tie on my bike and really not worry about it. It's relatively cheap, and if it gets dings and dents I just won't care as much as I might with my other 4x5s (Crown Graphic, Bender [screwed and glued together cherry monorail, not tough!], Calumet CC-400) and I can repair it as needed. Should be tough and resilient, if ugly -- a jeep of a camera. At least, that's what I told myself when I bought in. :-)

I'll post some photos of and from it when it arrives, which I hope will be sometime in the next few weeks based on what they're saying.

Robert
