Testing an Olympus XA with Kodak Kodacolor 100 VRG found in a junk store. First six frames are not my photos, but from the original owner, taken over twenty years ago. It needs some work, but is usable, and the film held up pretty good for the storage conditions the camera had been in.
Part Two
These are the frames I exposed, after remembering to set the aperture.

Are all of these on the original roll of film? That's rather interesting. Does the Olympus XA still have cult status?
I think it's a cute little camera. At times, it almost feels too small and too smooth.

Yes, Mike. I just wanted to see if the operations of the camera were still good without wasting any of my film in case they weren't. As it turned out, that was a good idea, because the film door was rusted shut, and is likely no longer light-tight since being opened to remove the cartridge.melek wrote:Are all of these on the original roll of film? The latent images in "Six of one...Part One" aren't in too bad of shape for having sat in camera for so long. And other than the edge shift of the film, my images have some decent color.
When I want to get a good grip on an XA variant, I put the flash on, whether I use it or not. As for the cult, well, I'm not sure how intense it is at the moment, but there are still plenty of aficionados around.
