Central Europe, digital color

Often simply written as "W/NW" - your favorite photos. Explain them, or let your photos (film or digital) speak for themselves.

Central Europe, digital color

Post by Julio1fer »

As advertised, a selection of digital color pictures from the trip, with no particular criteria except trying to avoid the more classic monumental shots. All of these are from the G-12; it was an excellent travel cameral for the crazy bus trip that I chose, where one had to grab shots as they came. Many other people had DSLRs but I wonder if they had half the fun that I did.

As a long-time film user I enjoy the ISO selection and image stabilization in digital - it works like magic.

A slideshow of 32 pictures, including the B&W film previously featured in another thread, should be available here. Excuses, because I cannot get the pictures in the slideshow in the right order. In any case, here are a few teasers from the G-12 images.

I was using the G-12 in P mode, in-camera JPG. In high contrast scenes, it was often necessary to compensate exposure, as the dynamic range is oh so narrow in digital. I am still learning the G-12 menues and must try to keep it simple!

I really like the everyday type scenes you caught there, Julio.

Bravo, Julio. I enjoyed looking at these - not at all typical of the usual travel photos. You have a good eye and the fun that you had shines through your images.
