I just read on Facebook....
Edwin Rosenbloom (edthened) has passed away from cancer. Many of us will recall his sense of humour from the Nelsonfoto forum days and his excellent use of the keyboard in getting the nuances of the Scottish accent across in a forum post.
I'm going to miss Edwin. In honour of our friend Ed, I think some Robbie Burns is appropriate:
Fair fa' your honest, sonsie face,
Great chieftain o the puddin'-race!
Aboon them a' ye tak your place,
Painch, tripe, or thairm:
Weel are ye worthy o' a grace
As lang's my arm.

Re: We've lost of our own
I'm really sorry to hear this news. I always appreciated his humor (humour), even if I didn't understand what he was saying most of the time. I traded a few e-mails and messages with him here and there, and he seemed like a fine person.
That's very sad ...

Ohh, I miss Ed already -- we haven't heard much from him in a couple of years.
He had a great sense of humour.
It's a real loss.

A great spirit has passed. I always wanted to have a wee dram with the old scooter, and have him give me a tour of his home town. So ther!

On a good note I heard from Lester today he and his wife are settled in the new assisted living home and he will soon tell us in pictuers about it. Ed and I ran a music room together. He was more than a photographer.
If we all saw the world the same no one would need a camera.

Sorry to hear about Ed, but that's great news about Les. Have wondered about them.
